Unauthorised Institutes Many private computer training centres operate without proper accreditation from recognised bodies. Invalid for Recruitment Certificates from such institutes are invalid for government recruitment purposes, including OSSC examinations. Official Verification Required Always verify the accreditation status of your institute through official government websites before relying on their certificates.

Applying the Same Standard Just as educational qualifications must come from recognised authorities, computer certificates must also meet official standards. UGC-Approved Universities Computer courses and certificates from universities recognised by the University Grants Commission. AICTE-Recognised Institutions Computer diplomas and degrees from All India Council for Technical Education approved technical institutes. NIELIT Certification National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology 'O' Level and other recognised certifications. OS-CIT by OKCL Odisha State Certificate in Information Technology conducted by Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited, a government body.

The term "competent authority" refers to officially recognised bodies that have the legal mandate to issue valid educational certificates. 10th Standard Certificates issued by state or national recognised educational boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards). 12th Standard Certificates from recognised councils and boards with government approval and accreditation. Graduation Degrees Degrees from universities approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. Technical Degrees Diplomas and degrees from institutions recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
